Can we create a model for national food regulatory systems?  As the world grows smaller and food is shipped farther, consumers and importing companies are relying on control systems in use in many other countries.  But who can we trust?

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and Codex Alimentarius have developed new tools for national governments around the world to evaluate and improve their own systems.  There are also several tools in use in different regions and sectors.  This session will examine these tools.
