Biographical Sketch: Beth Driscoll is a PhD Candidate in the Policy Studies under the Public Policy and Administration stream. She also holds a Master in Adult Education and Community Development from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, a B.Sc.(Hons)in nutrition from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador and a B.A.Sc. in Public Health and Safety from Ryerson University. In addition, Beth holds three professional designations; the Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) from the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors, the Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute and the Certified HACCP Auditor from the American Society for Quality.
Prior to returning to Ryerson to complete her PhD, Beth worked in the food industry as a trainer, auditor, and consultant in food safety for an international Public Health and Safety Organization. She has worked with all sectors of the food industry, from farms to multinational food manufacturers, to help them provide consumers with safe, quality food. Beth also lectures in the School of Occupational and Public Health at Ryerson University.
