Biographical Sketch:
Emilie Gauvry is a 3rd year PhD student in microbiology at the LUBEM of Quimper. She made her studies at the university of Rennes (France) and obtained the Master’s degree in Fundamental and Applied Microbiology. She works on the sporulation abilities of Bacillus sutbitlis according to the environmental factors such as the pH, temperature and water activity in order to predict the sporulation behaviors of sporeformers in the food industry. The LUBEM of Quimper is focused on food safety and food spoilage du to bacterial sporeformers : their biodiversity, their physiology, their metabolism, and the development of control means and tools such as modified atmosphere and predictive microbiology.
