Biographical Sketch: Trond Møretrø has a PhD in microbiology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and has worked as a research scientist for the last 18 years at Nofima- The Norwegian Institute of Food, Fishery and Aquaculture Research. He has lead and participated in numerous projects within food microbiology, the majority of the projects in cooperation with food industry. He is author of 65 peer-reviewed publications. Main research interests are residential microorganisms in food processing, Listeria monocytogenes, biofilms, disinfectant resistance, novel control strategies and kitchen hygiene.
