Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Saint-Cyr 's background is in human health and food safety. He obtained his PhD from University of Rennes I in December 2013. His thesis was done at ANSES (French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety) in the Antibiotics, Biocides, Residues and Resistance Unit. He investigated the impact of mycotoxins on the human gut microbiota. He is working as a postdoctoral research fellow at ONIRIS (Nantes Atlantic National College of Veterinary Medicine, Food Science and Engineering) in the Secalim unit, since October 2014. His research focuses on Campylobacter and probiotics use to reduce this foodborne pathogen at the farm level.
