Biographical Sketch:
Professor Gyung Jin Bahk earned his Ph.D. in food safety from Seoul National University’s Department of Animal resources in 2001. His doctoral dissertation was the origin of microbial risk assessment (MRA) in Korea. He was a post-doctorate research associate at National Food Safety & Toxicology Center in Michigan State University from 2004-2006. He had been working at Department of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) promotion in Korea Health Industry Development Institute till 2007. He currently is a professor in the Department of Food and Nutrition at Kunsan National University, and a member of the committee of food safety for animal resources of Korean Government. He is also an active member of the research group on Food Safety against Climate Change (FSCC) in South Korea. He has published over 65 research papers and 48 presentations or proceedings in food safety and microbial risk assessment.
